Terms of Service

Effective September 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Velofound ("we," "us," or the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Velofound is

Velofound is an AI-assisted tool that helps founders plan and build parts of a business — including generating websites, formation checklists, pricing models, marketing plans, and other documents and content ("Outputs") based on information you provide. Outputs are generated using artificial intelligence and are provided as a starting point, not as professional advice.

2. Not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice

Nothing generated by the Service — including formation checklists, contracts, pricing guidance, financial projections, or any other Output — constitutes legal, financial, tax, accounting, or other professional advice. You are responsible for having a licensed attorney, accountant, or other qualified professional review any Output before relying on it or using it in your business. We are not a law firm, a financial advisor, or an accounting firm, and using the Service does not create any professional relationship of that kind.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for anything that happens under your account. Sign-in is passwordless — links are emailed to you, so keep your email account secure.

Age. You must be at least 18 to use the Service on your own. If you are 16 or 17 you may use it only through a course at your school, with your instructor's approval, and only for that course. The Service is not for anyone under 16.

4. Your content and Outputs

You retain ownership of the business information you enter into the Service. Subject to your subscription and these Terms, you own the Outputs generated for your business and may use them for your business. Because Outputs are AI-generated, similar or identical Outputs may be produced for other users from similar inputs, and we make no guarantee of originality, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

6. Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid plan. Pricing and plan details are shown in the Service. We may change pricing going forward, with notice before it applies to you. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law, and except as set out in the refund policy below.

Refund policy. If a subscription charge was a mistake or the Service didn't work for you, email us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full — no questions, one refund per account per plan. After 14 days subscriptions are not refunded for the remainder of a billing period; cancel instead and keep access until the period ends. Token top-ups are refundable within 14 days only if none of the tokens have been used. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Payments your own customers make to you (through the website or app we publish for your business) are between you and your customer. You set your refund terms; you can issue those refunds from the Payments page and they are processed by Stripe.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for — you keep full access until then, and you are not charged again. You can undo a cancellation at any point before that date.

What happens to your work after cancelling. When a paid plan ends, the material generated in the paid categories (marketing, finance, sales, hiring, product, operations and pricing) becomes inaccessible but is retained for 90 days. If you resubscribe within those 90 days, it is restored exactly as you left it. After 90 days on the free plan it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. We email the address on your account 14 days before that deletion. Your projects, your legal checklist, your strategy plan, and any token top-ups you have purchased are not affected and remain available on the free plan.

7. Disclaimers

The Service and all Outputs are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that Outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velofound and its owners and operators won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any Output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
